The duration of the judicial proceedings is almost the most painful problem for the SAP and NABU,- said the head of Special anti-corruption prosecutors office Nazar Holodnytskyy in an interview to Censor.NET.

Commenting the statements of public organizations that SAP does not show activity in the speed up consideration of cases brought to the court, the head of SAP said that the legislation does not provide appropriate mechanisms and any action in this area can be regarded as pressure on the court.

"Numerous community organizations easily "judge "because they are not liable for the speech while it is different in our organisation. The duration of the judicial proceedings is almost the most painful problem for the SAP and NABU because we understand that the detention, announcement of suspicion is one of the stages of bringing people to justice, and our main goal - a guilty verdict. But, unfortunately, the legislation does not give the possibility to the prosecutors to affect the efficiency of trials because according to the law prosecutor is on equal footing with a side of protection. Everything else can be interpreted as a pressure on the judicial branch,"- said Holodnytskyy.

However, he noted that despite the workloadthat an average of 1 SAP Prosecutor to 9 NABU detectives, for the entire period of SAP activity, any trial was not delayed because of the absence of prosecutors.
